Heron Foods applies for licence to sell alcohol at Hull store
A discount retailer has applied for permission to sell alcohol from one of its Hull shops.
Heron Foods Limited has submitted an application for a premises licence under the Licensing Act 2003 for a store in Hull.
The application has been made to Hull City Council and relates to Heron Foods, 288–290 Hessle Road, Hull (HU3 3EA).
If approved, the licence would allow the sale of alcohol for consumption off the premises from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week.
The proposed opening hours of the store are also 8am to 8pm, Monday to Sunday.

Members of the public or responsible authorities may make written representations about the application.
These must be submitted to the council’s Licensing Section by February 18, 2026, either by post or by email.
The licensing register and a record of the application can be inspected by appointment at Hull City Council’s offices or via the council’s website.
The notice also states that it is an offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with a licensing application, which carries an unlimited fine on conviction.
