Leeds road to close for seven days as drivers warned of 24-hour restrictions
A road in Leeds is set to close for around a week while new connection works are carried out, with restrictions in place around the clock.
Drivers in Otley are being warned of an upcoming road closure as essential connection works are scheduled to take place.
Leeds City Council has announced that Maylea Drive, in the Otley and Yeadon ward, will be closed to vehicles outside and opposite properties numbered 28 to 32.
The closure is due to begin on Thursday (Oct 29) and is expected to remain in place until Wednesday (Nov 4).

Restrictions will operate 24 hours a day throughout the works, meaning motorists will be unable to travel through the affected section during the closure.
The council confirmed that no alternative diversion route will be available because Maylea Drive is a dead-end street.
However, essential access to and from properties will be maintained, along with access for emergency vehicles.
The temporary traffic order allows restrictions to remain in force for a maximum of 18 months, although the works are expected to be completed within approximately one week.
The road will reopen once the works have been completed and the restrictions are no longer required.
