Plans to dispose of open space land in Huddersfield put forward
A piece of land in Huddersfield could be sold by the council, with residents invited to comment on the proposal.
The site, located next to a residential property, may be classified as open space.
Kirklees Council has announced plans to dispose of land adjacent to 45 Wilton Avenue in Bradley, Huddersfield.

The land is considered to potentially fall within the definition of open space under planning legislation, meaning the council must formally notify the public and allow for objections before any sale can proceed.
Residents or interested parties who wish to object to the proposed disposal can submit their concerns in writing to the council, quoting the relevant reference.
Any objections must be received by April 21, 2026, and should include full reasons.
A plan showing the area of land in question is available to view online or can be requested directly from the council.
The consultation process forms part of the legal requirements before a final decision is made on whether the land will be sold.
