Bradford City set for six successive fixtures at Valley Parade after League One postponement

BRADFORD City’s scheduled League One trip to Leicester City – scheduled for Saturday, November 14 – has been postponed due to international call-ups for the home side.

A new date for the fixture will be communicated in due course.

It means that City, who lost 3-0 at home to near-neighbours Huddersfield Town last Saturday, will return to league action against Doncaster Rovers on November 21 – the second instalment of a triple header of Yorkshire derbies at league level at Valley Parade.

After facing Rovers, Michael Duff’s side will welcome former club Barnsley on Tuesday, November 24.

As it stands, the Leicester postponement means that City are set for a run of six successive fixtures at BD8, which started with last weekend’s EFL Cup victory over Peterborough United – with the derby with Town following on.

The Bantams welcome non-league outfit Marine in the FA Cup first-round on Saturday and host York City in an EFL Trophy group game next Tuesday (November 10) – ahead of the meetings with Rovers and the Reds.

Bradford’s next scheduled away fixture will be a League One trip to another of Duff’s former clubs in Wycombe Wanderers on November 28.

City have only visited the King Power Stadium on one previous occasion, back in September 2002.

The facility was then known as the Walkers Stadium, with the Bantams losing 4-0 in a second-tier fixture.
