Verdict: Great start and team looked like play-off contenders. But losing key players to injury, or, in the case of Nahki Wells, being transferred, saw a difficult few months. Never really in relegation danger, but last third lifted with the help of some good loan players.

Player of the Year: Stephen Darby. Very consistent.

Biggest disappointment: Mark Yeates.

Best moment:Carl McHugh’s late header v Port Vale.

Worst moment: 2-0 home defeat to Walsall. Dreadful evening.

Where has the season gone right/wrong: Losing Andrew Davies to injury and Nahki Wells to Huddersfield saw us slowly slide out of contention.

Advice to manager: Keep right players and find good replacements for Jones, Thompson etc.

Best opposition team: Wolves, by a country mile!

Was the season a success or failure: Success – 11th place was acceptable.
