Rovers make their first-ever visit to the London Stadium on Saturday to face a rejuvenated Hammers side who have made considerable strides under the watch of the Scot in his second spell in charge of the Hammers.

Ex-Manchester United and Everton chief Moyes returned to West Ham just over a year ago at a time when the club were in 17th place, just one point above the Premier League relegation zone.

Moyes consolidated their top-flight status and the Hammers have kicked on this season and currently sit in an impressive seventh in the table, just two points behind champions Liverpool.

West Ham have lost just twice in their last 13 matches in all competitions, winning eight of them, with their eye-catching position in the league and absence of relegation fears also enabling them to have a real push in the FA Cup this year, with the Londoners welcoming Rovers in a round-four tie.

An admiring Moore, whose League One high-fliers are also in form, having won nine of their past 11 games in league and Cup, said: “West Ham are a good team and David is a great manager who is proven over many seasons and years with the experience he has got.

“He has brought a solidness, consistency and flair to West Ham and changed the dynamics around it and has brought solidarity to the football club, which is a wonderful thing that he has done.

“He has shown his class and experience and he has done really good. I look forward to seeing him on Saturday and obviously contesting against a team who are in great form.

“We have just got to continue building on the form we have set and continue to try and keep moving forward."
