Luke Molyneux’s first words as Salford City player
Salford’s latest addition told the club’s website: “I’m just looking forward to getting started, implement what the gaffer wants, his style of play is going to be something new and I’m looking forward to it.
“We’ve got a lot of good players in this squad, a lot of exciting players, and the goal for us is promotion.
“I’d say I’m exciting, like to get the fans off their feet, be effective with goals and assists. That’s something that I strive for, I work towards, and has been drilled into me.
“I try and set up as many goals as possible, score as many goals as I can, and I think that’s something that’s important, especially in a team that wants to get promoted and hopefully I can bring plenty to this club.”

Luke Molyneux’s Doncaster Rovers exit

When the wideman snubbed a new deal in South Yorkshire, Rovers boss Grant McCann said: “Luke, unfortunately, has not wanted to get into negotiations and rejected the deal, which is his prerogative.
"We've rejected a bid for Luke, so that [his situation] is in discussions at the minute. This came after we offered the contract. so I don't want anyone thinking we offered him a contract because of the bid, it was way before the bid.”
