Bristol City 3 Doncaster Rovers 0: Dickov blasts ‘comical and sloppy’ Doncaster

Aaron Wilbraham and Mark Little took advantage of some sub-standard Doncaster defending to set the Robins on their way.

Harry Forrester was sent off for the second time this season shortly after the restart – his second yellow card for kicking the ball away after being booked in the first half for an alleged dive in the penalty area.

Former Rotherham striker Kieran Agard was then given time and space to seal victory for the home team.

Doncaster Rovers chief Paul Dickov berated his side’s defending.

“People were not doing their jobs properly for the first goal, the second goal is comical and the third was just sloppy,” said an unhappy Dickov.

Rovers’ poor afternoon started when they failed to clear a free-kick and Wilbraham poked home from close range.

Things were not helped when Rovers lost influential defender Rob Jones with a hamstring injury halfway through the first half.

Rovers defender Cedric Evina then failed to clear the ball, allowing Little to slide in for the second goal. Evina stood with the ball at his feet for an eternity on the line and Little took advantage.

Agard made it 3-0 inside the final 10 minutes when City players walked through the Rovers defence and his deflected shot found its way into the net.

City, unbeaten in the league, comfortably registered their third win in a row.
