George Miller’s second goal in three games put Rovers on course for victory after County winger Macauley Southam-Hales was sent-off after just 21 minutes for elbowing midfielder Tommy Rowe in the face.

But substitute Ryan Rydel levelled for the visitors a minute after the break to stun Rovers.

However, forward Agard was on hand in the dying moments of the game to win it for the home side with his second goal of the season.

Rowe headed frustratingly wide from Miller’s drilled ball into the box as Rovers started brightly, but it was the latter who rifled Rovers into a welcome lead. James Maxwell provided the pinpoint cross and Miller netted with a close-range finish.

Forward Lee Tomlin struck a post with a curling shot on the stroke of half-time and Liverpool loan keeper Vitezlav Jaros produced a smart block to thwart defender Kyle Knoyle’s follow-up.

But County equalised when Rydel pounced with a neat finish from Myles Hippolyte’s assist.
