Eddie Gray does not believe Leeds United will make any significant additions to their squad over the emergency loan window. There is an expectation that the Whites will make moves for players after seeing the January transfer window go past without many additions. Gray, however, feels the emergency window should not be used for squad surgery.

He said: “At this stage of the season, who are you going to get in on loan that’s going to make a drastic improvement to the squad?

“At this stage, with the transfer window closed, the so-called bigger players that were going to move on have moved on.

“The better players who are still at their clubs will stay there because they are in contention to maybe get into the top six or automatic promotion.

“It’s called an emergency loan window. So I think you’d only use it in an emergency”.

Huddersfield Town are taking a look at non-league goalkeeper Jamie Hannis. The 17-year-old plays for Ilkeston FC. Wolves are also thought to be chasing him.

Neil Warnock says Greg Halford will get another chance at Rotherham United after initially struggling to settle at the club.

Warnock said: “Greg’s got his strengths and got his weaknesses.

“And we’re just trying to work on his strengths.

“I know we’ve only got three months but the opportunity it there for him. The places are up for everybody they’ve just got to do it on the training ground and in the matches.”
