Huddersfield Town and Blackpool credited with interest in Port Vale's FA Cup hero Ben Waine
Huddersfield Town and Blackpool are reportedly interested in Port Vale’s FA Cup hero Ben Waine.
The 24-year-old only joined Port Vale in the summer, making the move after two years on the books of Plymouth Argyle.
However, his name has already been etched in the club’s history books.
The forward has fired Port Vale into the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, having notched decisive goals in upset wins over Bristol City and Sunderland.

Huddersfield Town linked with FA Cup hero
His history-making winners have seemingly caught the attention of rivals, as SportsBoom have claimed the Valiants are bracing themselves for summer interest.
Huddersfield and Blackpool have both been named as admirers of Waine, who has scored eight goals in 26 appearances across all competitions this season.
The New Zealand international appears to be enjoying life at Vale Park but the club are rooted to the bottom of League One and relegation could grease the wheels for an exit.
A potential reshuffle at Huddersfield Town
Huddersfield are sixth in the League One table, although there has been unrest in the fanbase due to underwhelming displays.
The Terriers have invested heavily in their squad only to find it tough to mount an assault on the top two.
A summer reshuffle could be on the cards and Waine is an attacking threat who could prove tempting.
He has room to grow at just 24 and would arguably produce even more magic in a stronger team.
Huddersfield have also been linked with Aston Villa playmaker Tommi O’Reilly, who is currently turning heads on loan at Crewe Alexandra in League Two.

The attacking midfielder is just 22 and like Waine, is a player who could arguably develop at a swift rate in the coming years.
However, for the time being, Huddersfield’s focus has to be on ensuring they do not waste another season.
Despite fan anger, a top-six finish is still a strong possibility for Liam Manning’s men.
