Bradford, on their best run in the competition since sensationally reaching the final back in 2012-13, have already beaten Red Rose duo Rochdale and Championship outfit Burnley en route to the quarter-final stage, alongside League One rivals Leyton Orient and Peterborough United.

Hosts City are the current holders and have won the competition on nine occasions, including five times in the past nine seasons.

They have not lost a League Cup tie at the Etihad in just over 12 years since October 2014. They have beaten Brighton and Hove Albion and Norwich City on home soil on their way to this season’s quarters.

Bradford have never played a competitive fixture at the Etihad, with the Blues moving into the stadium in 2003.

The Bantams last visited the blue side of Manchester in December 2001, when they lost 3-1 at Maine Road.

They have won just twice on 17 previous appointments at City, with their successes coming over a century ago in 1912 and 1910.
