Hull City star Oli McBurnie earns Scotland recall as uncapped Bradford City man Jon McCracken makes squad
Scotland have offered recalls to a Hull City star and an uncapped Bradford City man
Hull City star Oli McBurnie has been recalled to the Scotland squad - over five years on from his last international appearance.
The 30-year-old forward enjoyed a stellar 2025/26 campaign at club level, delivering an 18-goal Championship haul to fire the Tigers into the Premier League.
Calls for a recall into the Tartan Army set-up, however, fell on deaf ears during the latter stages of Steve Clarke’s reign.

Scotland have since replaced Clarke with ex-Monaco boss Sébastien Pocognoli and McBurnie has made the Belgian’s first squad.
Pocognoli has also drafted in uncapped Bradford City goalkeeper Jon McCracken, who was last called up in 2024. The 26-year-old joined the Bantams from Dundee in the summer and has made an impressive start to the League One campaign.
Scotland have four Nations League fixtures coming up, with a trip to Slovenia on September 26 first on the agenda.

They will then host Switzerland at Hampden Park on September 29 before visiting North Macedona on October 3. The run of fixtures will be rounded off on home turf against Slovenia on October 6.
Here is the Scotland squad named by Pocognoli in full.
