Hull City hold 'exploratory talks' with Manchester United over Toby Collyer return
Hull City have reportedly held exploratory talks with Manchester United over a return to the MKM Stadium for Toby Collyer.
The midfielder was targeted by the Tigers last summer but the club were pipped to the post by West Bromwich Albion, who tied the 22-year-old down to a loan deal.
It did not work out for Collyer in the Midlands and Hull finally secured his signature in the winter window. Injuries have hampered him in East Yorkshire, yet fans have been left impressed by the appearances he has made.

Hull City eye second Toby Collyer deal
Despite having managed just five outings in black and amber, Collyer is reportedly being eyed for a return to Hull upon the expiry of his loan deal.
According to Hull Live, talks between the Tigers and Collyer’s parent club Manchester United have taken place.
Collyer is thought to have expressed willingness for a deal to materialise and Championship promotion hopefuls Hull have been described as keen.
It has not been specified whether it will be another loan deal Hull explore or if something more permanent is looked at for the former England Under-20s international.
He is under contract at Old Trafford until 2027, with the Red Devils having the option to extend his deal by a further year.

Toby Collyer’s position at Manchester United
Collyer joined Manchester United from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2022 and has since made 13 senior appearances for the Premier League giants.
He faces stiff competition for minutes in Michael Carrick’s squad and may need a full season of regular football to push him up the pecking order.
In an interview with MUTV in January 2025, Manchester United‘s Bruno Fernandes waxed lyrical about his young teammate.
He said: “Toby doesn't need help, if I'm being honest. He is a great kid, a great example of a professional. He comes from the academy and knows his place, knows how much he wants to get into the positions of other players. He trains very well every week, trains at the maximum level every time.
“He's a really good kid who wants to learn. He's eager to listen and has big, big qualities. He's aggressive off and on the ball, he's class in tight spaces, and he's just going to get better."
