‘From the first minute it was embarrassing’ is Andy Butler’s verdict on Doncaster Rovers
Butler questioned his players’ desire after being put to the sword by relegation-threatened Wigan, who had gone three games without scoring until Joe Dodoo, Thelo Aasgaard, Viv Solomon-Otabor and Will Keane struck.
Taylor Richards scored for the woeful hosts amid the carnage as Rovers slumped to their fourth successive defeat and eighth game without a win.

“When you go onto the pitch wearing Doncaster Rovers colours and the badge, you are representing yourself, your family and friends, the club and the fans. I don’t think any of the players can say they put a shift in.”
Dodoo fired into the top corner after three minutes and Rovers had a mountain to climb just 15 minutes in when Aasgaard doubled the advantage.
Brentford loanee Ellery Balcombe produced a good save to deny Keane but there was nothing he could do to as Solomon-Otabor completed a fine team move in the 33rd minute.

Rovers tried to claw themselves back into it but Wigan’s Keane added the gloss nine minutes from time.
