Leeds United star Dominic Calvert-Lewin 'under consideration' as Manchester United 'explore' transfer market

Manchester United reportedly have a key Leeds United figure on their radar

Leeds United star Dominic Calvert-Lewin is reportedly being considered as a potential transfer target by Manchester United.

The 29-year-old arrived at Elland Road in the summer of 2025, making a free transfer switch to West Yorkshire after a difficult period at Everton.

He has bounced back from issues with fitness and form in style, becoming a talismanic figure in Daniel Farke’s Leeds side and pushing back into the England set-up.

Leeds United star linked with Manchester United

Scintillating form is a double-edged sword as it often sparks transfer interest and according to The Athletic, the forward is on Manchester United’s radar.

The Red Devils have endured a dismal start to the Premier League season and a foray into the winter window market appears likely.

Calvert-Lewin has scored five goals across 10 appearances this season, notably netting the equaliser in Leeds’ draw with Manchester United earlier this month.

The appeal of a swoop for the Yorkshireman is clear, although Leeds are likely to be reluctant to part with their number nine.

A move across the Pennines - and a bitter rivalry divide - would also be a controversial one. Experienced goalkeeper Karl Darlow made the move in the summer, opting against a Leeds stay to join Michael Carrick’s ranks.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin future verdict

In a recent interview with Football Insider, former Everton CEO Keith Wyness tipped Calvert-Lewin to remain loyal to the club who have breathed new life into his career.

He said: “There'll be temptations, but I think he's going to be loyal and I think he will stay with Leeds.

“I think the temptation will be saying, should he be going to other clubs to get European football? Well, I don't think that's really going to be his main motivation.

“He knows as a striker that the satisfaction of scoring goals and if you've got a team playing to your style and playing in the way you want it, that's worth more than just a few European nights.”
