'He’s just got to' - Wrexham's Callum O'Hare told what to do ahead of Sheffield United reunion
Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson has previewed his side’s trip to Sheffield United
Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson has outlined the importance of Callum O’Hare resisting frustration ahead of his reunion with Sheffield United tonight (October 30).
The 28-year-old playmaker left Bramall Lane in the dying embers of the summer transfer window, completing a move to Wrexham.
He has since made eight appearances for the Wales-based club, although is yet to register a goal or assist.
His manager Phil Parkinson believes O’Hare has performed well - and does not want the attacking midfielder to get frustrated.

Phil Parkinson on Callum O’Hare and Kieffer Moore
He said: “Generally, his performances have been good, the Preston one in particular; the moment will come for him. He’s just got to focus on his all-round performance and not get frustrated.
“The goal that we won the game against Southampton with was practically his; his general play has been really good, and his work for the team has been excellent.”
Sheffield United will also be reunited with former Blades frontman Kieffer Moore, who swapped South Yorkshire for Wales in the summer of 2025.
Parkinson said: “Kieffer’s had a good start to the season, but it’s important that we keep him as fresh as possible and manage his training load because he’s been a real threat for us.
“On his day, which he’s had quite a few this season, he’s a real tough player to play against.”
Rivalry renewed
Sheffield United have lost in each of their last two meetings with Wrexham and were beaten 5-3 in a memorable thriller last December.
The clubs also met during the 2022/23 season, when Wrexham were still a National League club. Sheffield United managed to emerge victorious, but required a replay to do so.

Parkinson said: “We watched back both games this week, and the 5-3 was probably one of the best games in the Championship last season, a great game of football. I think we showed a lot of character and belief, we conceded and then kept going and got back in the game.
“At their place we were a bit depleted; we’d lost Matty James and Ben Sheaf, and we had to defend and suffer at times. But we stuck to the game plan and scored two brilliant goals. There was a good mixture of grittiness and good football; both games were entertaining.
“The home game in the FA Cup typified this club. We lost players through injuries and were 1-0 down early on, but we showed incredible determination in that game. If you can encapsulate everything in a performance, everything was on display.”
