'There will be negotiations' - Leeds United's Largie Ramazani latest as Valencia claim emerges

The latest on the future of Valencia’s on-loan Leeds United winger Largie Ramazani

Valencia would rather strike another loan deal with Leeds United than buy Largie Ramazani in the summer, according to a report.

The 25-year-old was deemed surplus to requirements at Elland Road last summer and allowed to link up with ex-Leeds coach Carlos Corberan at the Mestalla.

He did not make a scintillating start to life back in La Liga but has enjoyed a productive 2026 to date, registering six goals.

Reports have suggested Ramazani will be allowed to seek pastures new in the summer, despite the absence of a buy option in his loan deal.

Largie Ramazani latest

According to Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke, Valencia would rather explore another temporary arrangement than lodge a bid for the tricky wideman.

He told the Transfer Insider Podcast: “I don’t think he has a long term future at Elland Road right now, Largie Ramazani. He’s done quite well during his loan spell with Valencia, since the turn of the year he’s found his best form and fitness with six goals and two assists in 27 games.

“Valencia are keen to try and keep him, but the Spanish club would rather have him on another loan rather than a permanent deal, so there will be negotiations over that.

“Leeds would prefer a permanent exit to allow them to recoup some money from Ramazani. I don’t see how he could come back and win his place back in the Leeds side under Daniel Farke.

“They were able to cope with what they had this season and Leeds are probably planning for life in the Premier League next season and adding to their squad.”

Largie Ramazani’s future

It remains to be seen whether there are talks over a Valencia return for Ramazani, who seems to be enjoying life in Spain’s top flight.

A permanent parting of ways would arguably suit Leeds given they would most likely get a decent fee for a player of Ramazani’s calibre. It may also suit Ramazani himself, as he would have a completely fresh start and a chance to kick on.

“This year, we've added Jack [Harrison] and Noah Okafor so for him to get the minutes he needs, he's better off playing in Spain, and he's being coached by someone that we know and trust, and we hope that's good for him, and that his future is open here, if that's the right thing for him and for the club."

Ramazani joined Leeds from Spanish side Almeria in the summer of 2024, returning to England having started his senior career with Manchester United in 2019.

The former Belgium youth international weighed in with seven goals across 31 appearances in his maiden campaign at Elland Road, but was mostly limited to outings from the bench. Since joining Valencia, he has racked up 27 outings and scored six goals.
