Largie Ramazani 'edging closer' to Leeds United exit despite Valencia exploits as £10m price tag mooted

A fresh claim regarding the future of Valencia’s on-loan Leeds United winger Largie Ramazani

Largie Ramazani is reportedly edging closer to a permanent move away from Leeds United - despite impressing at Valencia.

The 25-year-old is enjoying a stellar 2026 and has registered six goals in Spain since the beginning of the calendar year.

He was loaned to Valencia last summer, despite having featured for the Whites in pre-season and made the bench for the campaign opener against Everton.

There is no buy option in Ramazani’s loan deal, yet it appears his Elland Road days could be numbered.

Largie Ramazani ’edging closer’ to Leeds United exit

According to Football Insider, the tricky wideman is nearing a move away from Leeds and has a £10m price tag on his head.

It has been suggested Leeds do not have any long-term plans for the former Manchester United prospect, who they signed from Almeria in the summer of 2024.

On the Transfer Insider Podcast, Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke said: “I don’t think he has a long term future at Elland Road right now. He’s done quite well during his loan spell with Valencia. They’re probably holding out for around £10m for Ramazani, which right now might be a bit too steep for Valencia.

“I’m sure there’ll be other clubs who’ll be keeping tabs on the Belgian because of what he’s done in Spain. I don’t see how he could come back and win his place back in the Leeds side under Daniel Farke.

“They were able to cope with that in this season so I don’t think with Leeds probably planning for life in the Premier League next season and probably adding to their squad. I don’t see how he’ll be able to break back into Daniel Farke’s plans.

Leeds are currently on course to secure Premier League survival having beaten Burnley and risen to 14th, while Valencia occupy 12th in La Liga.

Largie Ramazani’s struggle for minutes at Leeds United

Ramazani’s case is unlikely to have been helped by a rather effective change of formation in LS11. Farke now deploys a 3-4-2-1 which is more reliant on wing-backs than wingers for attacking threat.

The Belgian could potentially operate as one of the two in behind the forward, although many would argue he is not defensively strong enough to play at wing-back.

Ramazani showed plenty of potential over the course of his maiden campaign at Leeds, registering seven goals in 31 appearances. However, he failed to become one of Farke’s trusted lieutenants and 22 of his 29 league outings came from the bench.

“This year, we've added Jack [Harrison] and Noah Okafor so for him to get the minutes he needs, he's better off playing in Spain, and he's being coached by someone that we know and trust, and we hope that's good for him, and that his future is open here, if that's the right thing for him and for the club."

The door may have been left open but as it stands, a return to the Leeds fold for Ramazani looks unlikely.
