'I expect' - Leeds United tipped to accept transfer offer for Lucas Perri just one year on from £15.6m arrival
Leeds United tipped to accept transfer offer for Lucas Perri after difficult debut season
Leeds United have been tipped to accept an offer for goalkeeper Lucas Perri this summer.
The 28-year-old only arrived at Elland Road during the last summer window, sealing a £15.6m switch from French outfit Lyon.
He was signed to be the club’s number one following Illan Meslier’s struggles with form, which had resulted in Karl Darlow leapfrogging the Frenchman in the pecking order.
However, Perri suffered a similiar fate as a series of unconvincing displays prompted manager Daniel Farke to promote Darlow once again.

Leeds United tipped to accept Lucas Perri offer
In an interview with Football Insider, former Premier League scout Mick Brown has suggested Leeds could part with Perri in the coming months.
He said: “Leeds want to sign a new goalkeeper. Karl Darlow has done a very good job for them, they're happy with his role, but they feel they need to bring somebody in who can really nail down the starting place.
“That calls into question the future of Lucas Perri, who lost his place in the starting XI, and it looks like he's not going to be part of their plans.
“If an offer comes in for him that will allow them to make their money back, I expect Leeds will be ready to accept it, and then it can be spent on bringing in his replacement."
Leeds United’s goalkeeping department
Perri may have underwhelmed in West Yorkshire, but Leeds may be reluctant to move him on too quickly. As it stands, he is the only goalkeeper under contract at Elland Road beyond the end of the month.
Darlow, Meslier and Alex Cairns are all due to see their deals expire and there has even been talk of interest from rivals in Darlow.

Manchester United have been credited with interest in the 35-year-old Wales international, as have Tottenham Hotspur.
Even if Leeds do retain Darlow, it appears possible they could look to get another stopper on board. If a high-profile goalkeeper is recruited, doubts over Perri’s future will undoubtedly intensify.
