Leeds United 'hopeful' of landing Wolves star Ladislav Krejčí after 'positive talks'
Leeds United hold ‘positive talks’ with Wolverhampton Wanderers star Ladislav Krejčí as summer transfer business planned
Leeds United are reportedly hopeful of making Wolverhampton Wanderers star Ladislav Krejčí their first signing of the summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old lined up at Elland Road last weekend and completed 75 minutes as rock-bottom Wolves lost 3-0 to a confident Leeds side.
It has been a turbulent campaign for the Midlands club but Krejčí, who is on loan at Molineux from Spanish outfit Girona, has been among their stronger performers.
He was recently linked with Leeds, as were his teammates Andre, Joao Gomes and Mateus Mane, with Wolves seemingly destined for the Championship.

Leeds United interest in Ladislav Krejčí latest
According to TEAMtalk, Leeds have held positive talks over a potential move for the centre-back.
It has been suggested the Czech Republic international is viewed as a player who would be a good fit for Daniel Farke’s system.
Reports have indicated a £26m buy clause will be activated upon the expiry of his current loan deal, but that he could still seal a move away from Wolves.
A lot can change between now and the opening of the summer window, although fans will be enthused by reports of progress on the transfer front.

Leeds United’s transfer market position
However, Leeds’ current plans will go up in smoke if they are dragged back into the relegation zone. As it stands, the Whites are well-placed to beat the drop in 15th place. Farke’s side sit eight points above 18th-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
A raft of players have been linked with Leeds and speculation will not die down in the coming weeks and months.
Krejčí is something of an outlier in that he is a defender the Whites are reportedly keen on. Links to attacking players, such as Strasbourg’s Martial Godo and AZ Alkmaar’s Troy Parrott, have been much more frequent.
There has also been talk of interest in the likes of Southampton’s Leo Scienza and Swansea City’s Žan Vipotnik.
