Leeds United v Tottenham Hotspur: 'Calm' Daniel Farke dismisses talk of 'difficult situation' after winless run
DANIEL Farke has dismissed any suggestions that Leeds United are in a 'difficult situation', with the club currently on their joint-longest run without a Premier League win in 2026.
United's winless sequence in the league has now extended to five matches following last weekend's 2-0 reverse at Bournemouth. They have also scored just two goals along the way - ahead of Saturday lunch-time's home meeting with in-form Tottenham Hotspur.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Thursday, Leeds chief Farke admitted that he was 'struggling' in terms of offensive options.
Noah Okafor (abductor) and Anton Stach (toe) have not been involved in team training this week. Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who sat out training on Thursday with a slight foot issue, was due to be back with his team-mates at Thorp Arch yesterday.

Farke believes that plenty of perspective should be applied to the winless streak.
During this period, his side produced a 'outstanding' performance at champions and league leaders Arsenal, in his view. He also felt that that Leeds should have also beaten arch-rivals Manchester United eight days later on October 18.
Farke, whose side remain unbeaten on home soil this term, said: "I don't have the feeling at all we are in a difficult situation.
"After a great start, for us it was clear that we wouldn't stay the whole season on position five or seven and it was clear there would be a period with a very difficult away game, like the one at Arsenal. I think it was an outstanding performance there.

"We had an important game against Man United and just one team should have won this game.
"Then we had two different games on the road, One good clean sheet and an away draw (at Sunderland) and against Bournemouth, let's be honest up to 30 minutes, we could have buried the game.
"If you then are there with a gift of a goal like we did, then it's difficult for us to end with points on this level against an in-form side.
"Of course no-one is happy that we didn't have this winning feeling in the last games in the dressing room. But we all could judge why this was and for that no-one is lacking confidence or is concerned.
"So, it's way more difficult if you are there with poor performances and then you lose the game and are played out of the park and you are there with back-to-back losses."
Leeds face a Spurs side who have improved of late under Roberto De Zerbi, winning their last three league fixtures.
The North London outfit also boast a strong recent record at Elland Road, having picked up three points on their previous three visits.
While Leeds last tasted victory in the league on September 14, Farke remains calm about the direction of Leeds' season.
He continued: "We are pretty clear even after our top start (in 2026-27) that for us, our aim is we want to get to 40 points as quickly as possible.
"We want to make sure that we play another solid season on this level. We want to establish ourselves on Premier League level and want to earn the right to stay in this league - and nothing else matters.
"And all the other topics, some think and dream right now about Europe, and it's allowed and everything's okay. But we know exactly in which position we are and what we have to do for that.
"We're all quite calm and confident, because performance-wise there's not much missing."
