Yorkshire-born Calvert-Lewin cut his teeth within Sheffield United’s academy and left for Everton in 2016. He has since become a key figure for the Toffees, amassing nearly 250 appearances and scoring 68 goals.

Reports have suggested he is scoping out his options before committing to a new deal at Goodison Park. Losing Calvert-Lewin on a free would be a blow for Everton, who will be keen to satisfy financial fair play regulations with sales when possible.

Everton are reportedly looking to pocket over £40m, a price which appears to have dissuaded Newcastle from their pursuit. However, it has been suggested the Magpies could revive their interest later on in the summer.
