Michael Smith brace helps send Sheffield Wednesday top of League One as Owls hit back to beat MK Dons

Sheffield Wednesday twice came from behind to beat MK Dons 5-2 at home and move top of League One on Saturday afternoon.

Michael Smith scored twice with Josh Windass, Lee Gregory and George Byers also on target while Jonathan Leko and Mohamed Eisa scored for the visitors. Leko struck in the second minute with a superb shot on the run from around 25 yards out.

Windass equalised in the ninth minute, getting on the end of a long ball and dinking the ball over the advancing Jamie Cumming in the visitors’ net. Eisa put MK Dons back in front on 24 minutes, latching onto a loose ball before getting into the area and slotting past Dawson.
