Rotherham United assistant Steve Agnew says on-loan Sheffield United man Jili Buyabu 'let his teammates down'
Steve Agnew has looked back on Rotherham United’s 2-1 loss to Swindon Town in League Two
Rotherham United assistant Steve Agnew claimed Jili Buyabu “let his teammates down” in the Millers’ 2-1 defeat to Swindon Town.
Buyabu joined Rotherham on loan in the summer transfer window, making a temporary switch from fellow Yorkshire club Sheffield United.
The 23-year-old defender was sent off just four minutes into the League Two game at the County Ground, seeing red for an elbow on Jack Thomson.
Dominic Iorfa was later sent off in the 79th minute and even head coach Alex Bruce was given his marching orders.

Steve Agnew reflects
Agnew said: “We’re all disappointed and Jili, basically he’s let his teammates down more than anything.”
Regarding Bruce’s dismissal, he said: “The emotions run high. I think he kicked the bottle and apparently that is something that’s not permitted, which results in a red card. But there’s a lot of emotion attached to what we’re going through at the minute.
“And we’ve felt from day one when we’ve come in and built the squad that we have had so many hits.
“I’ve never, as a coach, been through scenarios week after week where everything seems to go against you.”
Ian Holloway’s view
Thomson put Swindon ahead on the stroke of half-time and the home lead was doubled by Joseph Hungbo in the 81st minute.
Denzel Hall pulled one back with just three minutes of normal time remaining and came close to levelling with nine men late on.

Robins boss Ian Holloway said: “Out of all my games, that’s probably the weirdest. Did we deserve all three points? Probably not. We let nine men score, but then they almost scored again. I’d have been absolutely fuming. Their manager gets sent off. It’s just mad.
“We made it look as hard as it possibly could be. We were lucky in the end. It was absolutely hideous, but we’ve got three points and that gives us a chance to keep going.
“It was horrendous. I hated every minute of it. Games like that will make me feel so old. It’s a joke.”
