Sheffield United 'set' to sell Gustavo Hamer and Sydie Peck in potential Leeds United and Nottingham Forest boost
Sheffield United ‘set’ to sell players previously linked with Leeds United and Nottingham Forest
Sheffield United are reportedly set to part with influential midfielders Gustavo Hamer and Sydie Peck this summer.
Chris Wilder’s men have failed to push for promotion this term and the club will have to pay the price this summer.
Parachute payments will not be available to the Blades ahead of the 2026/27 season and there will need to be some belt-tightening.

Sheffield United ‘set’ to sell duo
According to reporter Alan Nixon via his Patreon page, both Hamer and Peck are in line to be sacrificed at the end of the season.
Hamer has previously been linked with Leeds United, who have reportedly targeted the 28-year-old on a number of occasions over the years. There has also been talk of interest from Nottingham Forest, Everton and Fulham, as well as clubs in Turkey and the Netherlands.
Combative midfielder Peck, who Sheffield United signed from Arsenal’s academy, has been linked with the likes of Forest, West Ham United and Brentford. The 21-year-old, an England youth international, is widely considered to be among the EFL’s most exciting young prospects.

Tough decisions required at Sheffield United
Sheffield United fans would be devastated to see the pair move on but some tough decisions look set to be required this summer.
The club will need to box clever in the transfer market, replacing quality they look destined to lose without breaking the bank.
In February, Sheffield United’s chief executive Stephen Bettis told The Yorkshire Post: "If we don't get promoted, it'll be the first time in eight years that we are really a Championship club.
"We've either been in the Premier League or a Championship club with parachute payments. On top of that the Premier League have already embraced a new kind of FFP (financial fair play) called SCR, squad cost ratio.
“The EFL is going the same way. This is not about how big a cheque the owners can write because clubs are restricted in terms of the investment they can make."
