Sheffield United's Brentford and Nottingham Forest-linked star Sydie Peck 'high' on West Ham's target list
West Ham United credited with interest in Sheffield United’s Brentford and Nottingham Forest-linked star Sydie Peck
Sheffield United star Sydie Peck is reportedly high on West Ham United’s list of transfer targets.
The 21-year-old is a Londoner who cut his teeth in Arsenal’s youth system before heading north to join Sheffield United in 2021.
Since graduating from the Blades academy, Peck has established himself an integral part of the first-team set-up at Bramall Lane.
His swift development has fuelled transfer talk and he has been linked with the likes of Brentford and Nottingham Forest.

West Ham linked with Sheffield United star
West Ham have now been named as admirers of the England youth international by The Athletic. The Hammers have suffered relegation from the top flight and are currently planning for life in the Championship.
Not only does Peck boast Championship pedigree, he is a player with plenty of room for further growth at just 21.
West Ham are said to view him as a player with huge potential and have reportedly been scouting him since January.
Sheffield United will undoubtedly be reluctant to lose Peck, although no longer have the financial backing of parachute payments that West Ham do. This could make the Blades susceptible to offers in what could be a challenging summer for the South Yorkshire club.

Chris Wilder’s stance
In April, when quizzed about the potential departures of Peck and fellow midfielder Gustavo Hamer, Blades boss Chris Wilder said: "I think it's the same as it always be. If we have to sell a player or two, then we will do as long as we don't give them away. That's my take on it. We have to raise money.
"The owners put a lot of money in to buy the football club. They put a lot of money in, in terms of the investment they put in at the start of the season. If that's the case, then that's the case.
"I'm okay with that. But we can't develop these players and just let them go for nothing. We can't buy players and let them go cheaply or not at a price where we don't think it's the right price for us.”
