Sheffield Wednesday have reportedly renewed their interest in Reading midfielder Andy Rinomhota.
The 29-year-old joined the Royals for a second spell back in November after being reported as a free transfer target for the Owls.
Rinhomhota, a 13-cap Zimbabwe international, made just three appearances in League One before Reading’s season came to an end. In December, he withdrew from Zimbabwe’s Africa Cup of Nations squad to an urgent family matter.

He has been offered a new contract by Reading and according to the Reading Chronicle, has until mid-June to make a decision.
The outlet have claimed there is again interest in Rinomhota from Wednesday, who will compete with Reading in League One next season after their relegation.
A move to Wednesday would mark a return to Yorkshire for Rinomhota, who was part of the Rotherham United side relegated from the second tier in 2024.

Rinomhota may not have seen much action last season but he is undoubtedly a player with the technical ability required to impress in League One.
He would also be a relatively low-risk signing given he could be available to snap up as a free agent. This could prove incredibly appealing to Wednesday, who will be working under transfer constraints.
Sheffield Wednesday pushing forward
As the dust settles on a torrid 2025/26 season for the Owls, the rumour mill is starting to turn at pace. Wednesday have been linked with Rinomhota’s Reading teammate Charlie Savage, as well as former England international marksman Jamie Vardy.
Arise Capital Partners officially took control of Wednesday earlier this month, pulling the club out of administration and sparking hope of a brighter future.
