Blackburn Rovers named among 'admirers' of Sheffield Wednesday boss Henrik Pedersen
Sheffield Wednesday manager Henrik Pedersen has reportedly attracted admirers - and Blackburn Rovers are said to be among them.
The 48-year-old took the reins at Hillsborough last summer, succeeding Danny Rohl having formed part of the German’s coaching team in S6.
He was dealt an incredibly difficult hand, leading the Owls into a season marred by off-field turbulence, point deductions and player exits.

Wednesday finished rock-bottom of the Championship table but Pedersen has received praise for the way in which he has navigated choppy waters.
He has the faith of the club’s new owners and is preparing to lead Wednesday into the 2026/27 League One season.

According to The Wednesday Word, it is not just those at Hillsborough who have been impressed by Pedersen’s work.
The Dane is said to have admirers in England and overseas, with Championship outfit Blackburn named as a club who have discussed him.
Rovers recently lost Michael O’Neill, who has left Ewood Park to focus solely on his role as manager of the Northern Ireland national team after months of doing double duty. However, Pedersen is not thought to have any desire to leave Wednesday.

It would certainly be a surprise to see Pedersen depart just as the tide appears to be turning, with new owners Arise Capital Partners making all the right noises.
Pedersen will be hoping for backing in the transfer market and speculation over potential signings is already rife.
The club have been linked with Reading midfielders Charlie Savage and Andy Rinomhota, as well as boyhood Owls fan Jamie Vardy.

In a recent interview, Wednesday’s newly-appointed chief executive David Bruce said: "The infrastructure at the stadium and the training ground need work immediately.
"The football side we've got some work to do there with Henrik and the team. We have to be really aggressive and active in the transfer market as soon as the window opens."
