Sheffield Wednesday lead way with Hull City and Barnsley also represented in Yorkshire Team of the Week

The latest Yorkshire Team of the Week - featuring Sheffield Wednesday, Hull City, Barnsley and more

Seven clubs are represented in our final Yorkshire Post Team of the Week of the summer, with Sheffield Wednesday taking pride of place with three player nominations.

And who gets the manager's nod?

Here's the side in a 3-4-3 formation.

Goalkeeper

Konstantinos Tzolakis (Hull City)

Wonderful start to his Tigers' time. Two successive clean sheets and made a brilliant save to deny Coventry's Awoniyi.

Defence

Harry Boyes (York City)

His dream start to Minstermen life continues. Provided two assists and was influential for the second successive home match.

Semi Ajayi (Hull City)

Epitomised the Tigers' obduracy and organisation for a second straight Premier League match. Proper defending.

Connor O'Riordan (Barnsley)

Consummate debut at Orient. Could easily have picked his impressive central-defensive partner Gale as well.

Midfield

Reyes Cleary (Barnsley)

Showed what he brings to the table with a dazzling showing and goal against the O's. Let's hope he's still a Reds player come Wednesday.

Kian Spence (Rotherham United)

Here, there and everywhere against Chesterfield. In-your face, committed and provided moments of quality.

Callum Slattery (Sheffield Wednesday)

Vibrant showing as the Owls tore Bromley to bits.

Louie Barry (Sheffield Wednesday)

Had an absolute ball like Slattery. Two goals as well.

Forwards

Joe Taylor (Huddersfield Town)

Continued his fine renaissance with a late brace at Cambridge. Won and converted a penalty.

Will Lankshear (Middlesbrough)

In the right place at the right time. Strikers' brace to take his tally to six in five.

Jamal Lowe (Sheffield Wednesday)

Two goals and an assist as Wednesday went seven-up.

Manager/head coach: Daniel Stendel (Barnsley)
