Yorkshire golf: Hallamshire pair Fitzpatrick and Brown help England to another victory
Sixteen-year-old Fitzpatrick and 14-year-old Brown were beaten 4& 2 by Callum Burns and Rowan Carey when they were paired together in the match’s foursomes session at Dalmahoy.

Hide AdBut in the individual medal match play and singles match play sessions which sandwiched the foursomes, they accrued four points between them.
Both shot 67 in the medal match play, Fitzpatrick winning by two shots against Kyle Reid and Brown by six against Burns.
In the singles match play, Fitzpatrick beat Burns 6&5 and Brown beat Callum Bruce 2&1.

Hide AdEngland won each of the three sessions at Dalmahoy as they doubled up after their earlier win over Wales. They will complete the series when they play Ireland at Templepatrick on the weekend of October 10-11.
Their leadscorer against Scotland was Charlie Strickland, from Ham Manor in Sussex, who won all three of his games – helped by a hole in one in the final session of the singles match play. He used a wedge for his 120-yard shot on the third on the West course.
