'Not good enough': Andy Last blasts Hull FC after home defeat to Toulouse
Hull FC failed to move into the top half of the Betfred Super League table after suffering a disappointing 12-4 defeat to Toulouse.
Interim boss Andy Last hoped to capitalise on the win they secured against Castleford Tigers in his first match in charge since becoming caretaker for a second time.
Instead, they slipped to a Toulouse side who had suffered seven straight league defeats before their trip to the MKM Stadium.
The visitors scored two tries within the first 10 minutes, the first via Olly Ashall-Bott just five minutes in.

Joe Cator added a second four minutes later, and Jake Shorrocks successfully booted the extras for a second time.
Tom Briscoe got Hull on the board with nine minutes remaining in the first half, but they could not claw back any more points after Zak Hardaker missed the conversion.
The best chances after the restart went the way of the Black and Whites, via the boot of Aidan Sezer, but the hosts couldn’t find a way through with any ease and the French side fronted up in defence.
Hull’s best chance fell to Lewis Martin – Davy Litten managed to get a kick away close to the line for the winger to chase, but Ashall-Bott just managed to arrive on the scene first to knock the ball dead.
Ultimately, Hull could not find a way through with a lacklustre attacking display, and the second period ended scoreless as Olympique took the two points back to France.
Disappointed Hull coach Last reflected: "It wasn't a great game to be part of.
"We got a great crowd in but we didn't give them great moments to sing and get behind.
"I was really, really disappointed with the performance. Considering what we spoke about all week with regards to attitude, I thought we dipped our toes in.
"It was a really flat performance. We had 46 play-the-balls in the opposition's half which is a massive, massive amount but we just didn't pose a big enough threat.
"There's a lot of soul-searching in that changing room and rightly so because there's some questions that need to be asked.
"That wasn't good enough and I'll be making sure the players are aware of it and we'll be better when we play Bradford."
