Wakefield Trinity coach Daryl Powell provides latest on Max Jowitt and Tom Johnstone
Daryl Powell has confirmed that Wakefield Trinity remain without Max Jowitt and Tom Johnstone for this weekend's trip to Toulouse Olympique.
The pair are both sidelined with Achilles injuries and will not return until after the Challenge Cup break.
Jowitt last featured in Trinity's Challenge Cup quarter-final defeat to Wigan Warriors in mid-April, while Johnstone has not played since scoring four tries against Bradford Bulls the following week.
"We're hoping Tom will be back for the Hull KR game," said Powell, whose side host the defending champions on June 6.
"He's obviously a pretty important player for us so I'm looking forward to seeing him get back out there.
"Max won't be far off that either. He's been a slow burner. The tendons can be like that.
"I'd be hopeful that he'd start training next week and then would be available. Rourkey (Josh Rourke) has been going alright so I'd have a call to make.
"There are a couple of boys who aren't available but we're reasonably strong."

Isaiah Vagana has also been absent for the past six weeks with a shoulder injury.
The forward missed last week's win over Catalans Dragons despite being named in the squad but he is poised to return against Toulouse on Saturday.
"He's stepped up in quite a big way this year," said Powell.
"He went home and had a chat with his dad, who was a fair old player. You're going to listen to him.

"He's a pretty relaxed guy. It's just stepping up and understanding what your ceiling is. It's pretty high for Isaiah.
"I'm looking forward to seeing him get back in and around it. We feel he's developing into a pretty potent weapon in the back row."
