York Knights continue squad build with latest addition from Newcastle Thunder
York Knights have added further depth to their squad after signing Andy Djeukessi on a one-year contract.
The winger links up with the Knights on the back of a strong season for partner club Newcastle Thunder, catching the eye with 21 tries in 23 games.
Djeukessi, who took his first steps into Super League with Castleford Tigers last year, made his York bow as a loanee in August.
The 23-year-old is now back in a full-time environment after agreeing a permanent move to the LNER Community Stadium.
"It means a lot to sign on this year," said Djeukessi.
"I'm excited to do my part and build on what was a historic year for the club."
York, who finished 10th in their maiden Super League campaign, have already added Myles Harrison, Joe Law and Harvey Reynolds to Mark Applegarth's squad this week after a season at Newcastle.
Key prop Jack Martin, meanwhile, extended his stay at the club until the end of 2029.

Applegarth views Djeukessi as an exciting addition.
"He got a taste of Super League last year and I'm keen to let him build on that," said the York boss.
"Obviously he's still young and raw and has got plenty of developing in him but his athletic potential is really good. He's got some really good attributes that suit top-level rugby league.
"I'm looking forward to working with him again."
