George Ezra fans were treated to an intimate show in Leeds on Wednesday night as part of a mini-tour of the UK to celebrate the release of his new album, Gold Rush Kid.

Other stops included Pryzm in Kingston, UEA in Norwich and the Civic Centre in Trowbridge.

Ezra is a fantastic showman and, although he kept the packed-out crowd waiting until 9.30pm (the scheduled stage time was 8.30pm), it was certainly worth it.

The 29-year-old was on great form throughout, interacting with his fans and talking about his love for what he does amid the difficulties caused by the pandemic during the past two years.

“Are you ready for a sing-song tonight, Leeds?” Ezra asks his fans in the Stylus at Leeds University Student Union after emerging on stage to rapturous applause.

Ezra played several of his classic songs in a lively, energetic performance, including Shotgun, Blame it on me, Pretty Shining People, Budapest, and Paradise.

This was also mixed in with some of his hit songs from his brand new album, including Anyone For You and Green Green Grass.

The singer kicked off with Anyone for You, then played Pretty Shining People before Green Green Grass and the hugely popular Paradise, Blame It on Me, Budapest and Shotgun.

It was a short and sweet performance which left his adoring fans longing for more.

George Ezra plays at Scarborough Open Air Theatre on September 23 and Sheffield Utilita Arena on October 2.
