Wrong Move: Cast revealed for Channel 4's new 'dark comic thriller' being shot in Yorkshire

The cast has been revealed for a new thriller set to air on Channel 4 which is currently being shot in Yorkshire.

Wrong Move is described as being a ‘darkly comic thriller’ and stars Fargo’s David Thewlis, Bank of Dave’s Rory Kinner and Poldark’s Eleanor Tomlinson.

The series is set around Thewlis’ character - called Trevor - who is a dangerous sociopath and terrorises a group of homebuyers after pulling out of the house sale, which sends shockwaves through the entire chain.

Kinnear stars as Michael, whose patience is tested as the chain begins to crumble, while Eve Myles plays Catherine, Michael’s wife, desperately hoping that a move into their dream “forever home” will save their marriage.

Austin Haynes, who appeared in Adolescence and Unforgivable, joins the cast as the couple’s son Jack, while Tomlinson plays Stella, who, alongside her partner Juliette (Gwyneth Keyworth, Death Valley, Lost Boys & Fairies), is preparing for the arrival of their first child while trying to navigate the chaos unleashed by Trevor’s decision.

Set across six 60-minute episodes, it has not yet been revealed when the series will air.

The show was written and created by Ben Edwards, who has previously worked on Coma and Miss Scarlet & The Duke.

A statement from Channel 4 said: “Packed with twists and turns, Wrong Move delves into the complicated lives of the people trying to take the next steps up the property ladder, and the misguided notion that moving house can fix everything.

“The truth is you can move, but your problems come with you.”
