Eden Camp’s Living History Week 2026: Everything you need to know about Yorkshire’s immersive 1940s event
Eden Camp has announced the return of its Living History Weekend - here’s everything you need to know about the immersive 1940s event.
Eden Camp’s Living History Weekend is set to take place on April 4 and 5, 2026, and will transport visitors back to the 1940s.
The event will showcase a range of historical reenactors who will recreate the sights, sounds, and stories of the Second World War.
From British and US Army soldiers to German Prisoners of War, visitors will explore insights into the lives of those who lived through the era.

Visitors will experience live wartime singing and entertainment over the course of the weekend as the whole site is transported back to the 1940s.
Attendees can engage with reenactors, explore uniforms, and learn about wartime challenges through interactive displays, talks, and live demonstrations.
Visitors will also be able to find out about the select group of brave individuals whose job it was to defuse unexploded bombs, and listen in and watch the work of RAF personnel in the Ops Room as they send aircraft off on sorties and operations.
The event coincides with an action-packed Easter holiday with a lineup of family-friendly activities from March 30 to April 12, 2026.

Visitors can explore wartime Britain through hands-on tasks, immersive exhibits, and storytelling, with the Great Easter Egg-scape Trail and interactive workshops like Carrots on a Stick and Propaganda Egg Art.
Museum manager at Eden Camp, Nick Hill, said: “Our Living History Weekend is a fantastic opportunity for visitors to experience and engage with history.
“There's a chance to interact with dedicated reenactors and gain insights into the past in a unique way.
“We’re really looking forward to welcoming families, history buffs - there’s something here to spark curiosity in visitors of all ages while bringing the stories of wartime Britain to life in an engaging way.”
Attendees can also explore 22 immersive huts, each bringing wartime Britain to life through interactive exhibits.
After discovering the museum’s history, families can relax and enjoy a selection of meals and snacks at the family-friendly cafe.
