North Yorkshire Moors Railway: Yorkshire steam train to host Christmas Pullman events complete with mulled wine and a three-course feast
This Christmas, guests can indulge themselves in festive cheer with a variety of experiences at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) including the Christmas Pullman, Christmas Charters, and Christmas afternoon tea.
The services will depart from Grosmont Station and travel to Pickering Station and back with a total travel time of roughly two hours and 45 minutes. They are scheduled to be steam-hauled.

Hide AdPrice: The Christmas Pullman ticket per person is £99, and the four person private coupe with drinks package is £425.
The heritage carriages will allow people to indulge in a three-course Christmas feast and take visitors on a journey through the scenic Yorkshire countryside and will be served a menu crafted to celebrate the season’s flavours.
Guests will be greeted by mulled wine on arrival and fresh bread waiting on the table. There will be a variety of starters to choose from including the chef’s homemade vegetable and lentil soup, smoked salmon and prawn salad, or garlic mushrooms.
For the main course, there will be a traditional roast turkey, daube of beef, or chef’s homemade vegetable bake. Sweet treats for the third course include traditional Christmas pudding, poached pear pavlova, or a selection of cheese and biscuits. To end the meal, there will be freshly brewed tea and coffee served with mince pies.

Christmas Charters
Dates: November 26, 27, 29, December 3, 4, 6, 10, 11, 13, 17, 18, 20, 28 to 30 and January 2 to 5
Price: This is perfect for festive celebrations and will include a buffet lunch for up to 18 people and mulled wine. This package costs £1,595.
For private celebrations, Christmas parties, awards evenings, or a special occasion, the Christmas Charters offer a bespoke festive experience tailored to your group’s preferences on board the Great Western Saloon which was built in 1948.

Hide AdThis carriage has two luxurious seating areas with fine furnishings and observation windows for you to admire the beautiful views of the North York Moors National Park.
Guests will enjoy mulled wine on arrival and then indulge into a cold meat platter, smoked salmon platter, local butcher pork pie, and a broccoli and stilton quiche.
Accompaniments include mixed leaf salad, potato salad, and artisan breads. For a sweet treat there is a lemon tart, salted caramel profiteroles, fruit cake slice and a selection of cheeses. Tea and coffee will also be included and served with mince pies.
Christmas Afternoon Tea
Dates: November 28, December 5, 12 and 19
Price: It is £85 per person.
You can enjoy a classic British traditional afternoon tea with a festive twist on board this service.

Hide AdWhile relaxing in the Great Western Saloon carriage, you can enjoy a delightful selection of seasonal sandwiches, local butcher pork pie, homemade cheese and chive scone, broccoli and cheese tart.
Diners can also indulge in a Victoria sponge cake, salted caramel profiterole, chocolate and cointreau tart, and mince pies. This is all accompanied by tea and coffee served throughout the journey.
