Three 10-year-old girls bring music to Beverley care home with concert
The young musicians have been visiting care homes across the area during the summer to perform for residents
Three 10-year-old girls brought a touch of live music to residents at a Beverley care home after deciding to put on concerts for older people during the summer.

Elanor, Bella and Jessica, who attend Keldmarsh School, performed at Lindum House care home in Beverley as part of their visits to local care homes.
The trio, who have named themselves The Mocking Jays, played a selection of tunes ranging from modern classics to older favourites, using the flute, piano and guitar.

After the performance, the girls spent time chatting with residents, who were surprised to learn that the youngsters had only been learning their instruments for a total of two years.
Jayne Clarke, general manager at Lindum House, said the residents and staff had thoroughly enjoyed the concert.
“We all really enjoyed the performance that The Mocking Jays gave,” she said.
“They did incredibly well considering they haven’t been playing for very long. We were so impressed with them.

“Thank you for sharing your talents with us, girls.”
Lindum House, on Deer Park Way, provides residential, nursing and respite care. It is run by Barchester Healthcare.
The care home already has a programme of musical events and activities for residents, including live entertainment and community visits.
