Dalai Lama keynote speaker at Business Convention

The Dalai Lama will speak on the subject of ethics in business.
He is making the YIBC his first stop on a UK-wide tour. On June 15 the Dalai Lama will deliver a speech at MEPC’s Wellington Place in Leeds as the YIBC begins the Yorkshire Business and Arts Festival (YABF).

Hide AdMike Firth, convention chief executive, said: “We have always pulled out all the stops to get the most interesting and engaging speakers possible. With those already signed up this year it could be said there was already a stellar cast, but to be able to announce we have secured the Dalai Lama is honour indeed.”
The Dalai Lama will join retail-guru-turned-government-adviser, Mary Portas, and Sir Richard Branson’s former right-hand man, Will Whitehorn at the event. Also, political heavyweights Michael Portillo and Lord John Prescott will go head-to-head in a debate, while former world record holding athlete and TV commentator Steve Cram will also appear.
