Engineer wins big Chinese contract

ENGINEER Clyde Process Solutions has won a £1.2m contract from a large Chinese steel company.

Last year, the Doncaster-based group's subsidiary, CPS Asia, designed and installed the injection system on one of the largest blast furnaces in the world for the customer.

It will produce a coal injection system to be included in the rebuild of one of the customer's blast furnaces.

"We are focused on strengthening our order book and are pleased to announce this order, which was secured at healthy levels of contribution and is in line with management expectations."

Earlier this month, Clyde won a 1.1m contract with a US confectionary company.

The firm will supply a pneumatic conveying system to the Asian affiliate of the US company, as part of the expansion of a large factory in China.
