Manufacturer working to cut carbon
The UK's largest independent manufacturer of sealants, adhesives, fillers and building chemicals, which has a turnover of 47m, is in the process of introducing a more energy-efficient means of supplying its office and water heating to replace the gas-fired boiler currently in use.
It also plans to install an electrical energy saving technique as part of plans to reduce power bills by 20 per cent per annum.

Hide AdMs Broadhead said: "We want to cut our energy costs and become more environmentally friendly. Also, our customers are increasingly asking for evidence of our energy and environmental credentials."
The Manufacturing Advisory Service carried out a review of the building and advised Everbuild how it could improve environmental performance and cost savings.
