'Frankly appalling' - Gun fired at Yorkshire family home with woman inside
Police are investigating after a gun was fired at a Sheffield home while a young woman was inside.
South Yorkshire Police were called to Hyde Park Terrace in the Hyde Park area of the city at around 9pm in Saturday (Oct 24) where they found evidence that matched a gun shot, and a bullet inside the property.
The young woman inside was uninjured.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

A scene was put in place which remains today (October 25) and police will remain in the area while conducting their lines of enquiry.
Numerous police vehicles can be seen at the property.
Detective Chief Inspector Scott Harrison said: "A family home has been shot at on a usual Saturday, while a young woman was at home enjoying her evening. This is frankly appalling.

"Those who have chosen to commit this callous act clearly do not care about the consequences of their actions, and may be thinking they got away with it under the cover of night. But be rest assured, this is certainly not the case.
"We have a dedicated team of officers working around the clock to find those responsible."
