Welcome to the real world where Reform warrants greater media scrutiny - Yorkshire Post Letters
From: Roger Backhouse, Upper Poppleton, York.
Oh those poor innocent Reform lambs, driven to political slaughter by cruel media scrutiny. So Barrie Crowther would have us believe (TYP Letters, October 23). Alas, much unfavourable scrutiny has been caused by Reform itself.
Vast donations from foreign based businessmen who made money from the decidedly murky world of crypto currency ought to raise questions. So was Nigel Farage's glowing endorsement and investment in Kwasi Kwarteng's bitcoin scheme.
When a party leader receives £5m but then gives three different accounts of why was given it there will rightly be media questioning.

With Donald Trump clearly now aligned with dictators like Putin, and ready to sell out Ukraine any minute (with Taiwan thrown to the Chinese wolves afterwards) was it really wise for Nigel Farage to say of Trump "There are very few human beings ...with whom I agree on so much as I do with Donald Trump"?
Reform deserves more scrutiny, not less. If Mr Crowther thinks Reform is particularly hard done by, just look at the recent media questions about the Green Party Leader. Welcome to the real world.
