WATCH: Singing dogs and walker go viral for Leeds United Marching on Together rendition

A retired police officer and two of the dogs he takes out each week as part of his new dog walking business have gone viral – for their rendition of Leeds United chant ‘Marching on Together’.

Retired police officer Lee Stowe, 53, now spends his days walking dogs in Leeds after he set up his business Leads United Dog Walking in 2023.

Each dog has 'match reports' sent to owners and a 'player of the week' pooch wins a trophy.

Milo and Jasper – featured in the viral video – love nothing more than singing along to Leeds United chants including Marching On Together, Lee told The Yorkshire Post.

He said his career changed dramatically in 2023 after retiring and joking he “loves dogs more than people”.

Lee shadowed some dog walkers in the city before going it alone and setting up his business, complete with a van emblazoned with the Leeds United logo and badges.

Now, instead of chasing criminals, Lee and his companions including Milo and Jasper spend the days on walks around Temple Newsam.

However, Lee recently noticed how much Milo and Jasper love to sing along to songs in his van.

A recent rendition of ‘Marching on Together’ has now gone viral across Facebook.

Speaking to The Yorkshire Post, father of two Lee said he loved his job and couldn’t believe the amazing reaction the videos had received online.

"Milo and Jasper have people in cars laughing their heads off as they pass”, he joked.

"This was honestly a one take wonder, they howl and sing along, it is great.”

Lee spent more than 30 years with West Yorkshire Police.

Following retirement, Lee was looking for something to fill his days.

While on holiday, his friend suggested he could use his love of dogs to start a walking business.

"I had had enough of the stress of people day to day and was ready to do something else”, Lee explained.

"It was a lightbulb moment.”

Next, Leeds United season ticket holder Lee needed a name for the new business.

He continued: “We were sat around in a cricket club with a few mates and one said what about using Leads instead of Leeds and making it football themed.

"It was perfect.”

Lee now sends out funny ‘match reports’ daily to dog owners and one pooch also wins a trophy each week.

He even holds a press conference for ‘new signings’.

"The owners love the football theme”, Lee said.

“Some of them want nothing more than their dog to win the trophy, it is a bit of fun.”

A picture of Lee’s fan near Elland Road posted on social media also went viral two years ago and his business bloomed.

He is now three years into the business which centres around walks at the historic Temple Newsam site daily.

"I know this is the job for me now”, Lee – who was a sergeant for 19 years - said.

"It was a total career change but I couldn’t love it any more than I do.

"There is nothing better.”
