Roads in Bradford closed after man seriously injured in fall from bridge

ROAD closures remained in place in Bradford this morning after a man was seriously injured after it is believed to have fallenÂ from a bridge.

Police were called to a bridge near The A658 New Otley Road just after 3.30am today (Mon May 22) following reports of concern for a man's safety.

New Otley Road near the Sunrise restaurant was closed between the B6381 Barkerend Road and Otley Road.

A West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said at 8am today. "Prior to police attendance, a man is believed to have fallen from the bridge. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries and a number of road closures are still in place."
