Barnet v York City: Resilience has Alfie McNally looking forward to Bees test
York City travel to one of the League Two high-fliers on Tuesday looking for their first away win of the season, with goalkeeper Alfie McNally insisting they are ready for the test.
Despite only one point from their last two games – both also at The Hive – Barnet are only three points behind leaders Salford City with a game in hand.
But McNally says the way the Minstermen ground out a victory at home to Port Vale shows they have nothing to fear.
"We know they're a good side but so are we," the 21-year-old, on loan from Fulham, told BBC Radio York.
"We're ready for anything. We know with the football we play, we can give anyone a good game.
"We've got a lot of quality in this team and togetherness so we'll be ready for it.
"We're a resilient team. Every game we played this season has been tough and we've definitely seen that.
"We played a tough side on Saturday and we still managed to come away with three points.

"If we play like that we can give any team in this league a good game.
"We've got togetherness in this team.
"We're ready (for Barnet). It's a big game but we're ready and we know we can play our football."
Whether Joe Grey will be remains to be seen after the inside-forward missing his first league game of the season when he was sidelined with a calf injury. Coach Scott Lindsey is optimistic, but anyway his plan B worked well on Saturday.

“We think he’ll be okay for Barnet," said coach Scott Lindsey.
“We felt it was important that we gave him a rest day today, he had a little bit of a knock on his calf and he’s played a lot of football, he’s been excellent for us.
“I think it was the right thing to do, and he should be ready for us on Tuesday.”
Arthur Read made his full league debut as one of the holding midfielders, with Ollie Banks pushed to the front of the midfield box. It worked well, with Lindsey naming former Colchester United player Read as his man of the match.
Josh Stones made a very welcome return from the bench, ironically on a day when the goals came from Zak Johnson and Alex Hunt, both notching for the first time this season.
“It’s always nice to have different goalscorers, rather than just rely on one or two every week,” commented Lindsey.
