Forest Green Rovers v FC Halifax Town: Shaymen hope to capitalise on '˜relaxed' hosts

Two teams badly out of form at the worst possible time meet today but FC Halifax Town still have a huge task to breathe renewed life into their survival hopes.

Forest Green Rovers are without a win in six games, a run that has allowed Cheltenham Town to clinch promotion back to the Football League.

It means the play-offs beckon for Forest Green and Jim Harvey is hoping that can play into the hands of his Halifax side, even though the odds are firmly stacked in the favour of today’s hosts.

“Hopefully, they will be a little bit relaxed,” said Harvey, whose side sit fourth bottom after taking just four points from their last seven games.

“They are in the play-offs and there is not much on for them. They might just rest one or two players but, either way, we have to focus on ourselves.”

Boreham Wood are level on points with Halifax but sit just above the relegation zone on goal difference. They host Guiseley in a fixture that could have huge ramifications for both clubs, and particularly if the Shaymen can extend a winless run at home for Forest Green that stretches back to February 20.
