Former Sheffield United man having AFC Bournemouth medical despite Leeds United 'interest'

Daniel Jebbison is reportedly undergoing a medical at AFC Bournemouth after leaving Sheffield United.

The Blades were keen to retain Jebbison, who has shown plenty of promise in the early stages of his career. However, despite the offer of fresh terms, the forward opted to seek pastures new at the end of the 2023/24 season.

He was linked with Leeds United amid uncertainty over his future now but now appears destined for a fresh start down south with Bournemouth. Sky Sports have claimed the 20-year-old is being looked over ahead of a move to the Vitality Stadium.

Sheffield United would have been due compensation for their role in Jebbison’s development, but the two clubs are said to have agreed a £1.5m deal. There is believed to have been interest in Jebbison from Germany and Italy, while Bournemouth have also reportedly beaten off Premier League rivals.

An athletic and technically gifted frontman, Jebbison became the youngest player to score on their first Premier League start when he notched against Everton in May 2021.

He went on to have a productive loan spell at Burton Albion, later returning to play a bit-part role as Sheffield United sealed promotion to the Premier League.

Although fans hoped he would kick on in the top flight, a blood clot kept him out for the vast majority of the campaign. He made his long-awaited return on the final day of the season, when the Blades were already doomed.
