The latest on Stoke City winger Sorba Thomas amid Hull City’s pursuit of the ex-Huddersfield Town man
Hull City are increasingly confident of sealing a deal for Stoke City winger Sorba Thomas, according to a report.
The 27-year-old enjoyed a stellar 2025/26 campaign in the Championship, registering 10 goals and 13 assists for the Potters.
He has been strongly linked with Hull, who can offer Premier League football that Thomas has not yet experienced.

Sorba Thomas latest
Reports recently indicated a fee had been agreed and Sky Sports have now suggested Hull’s pursuit is moving along.
The Wales international is said to be due to arrive in East Yorkshire shortly to complete a medical and discuss personal terms.
Stoke were said to be desperate to retain the former Huddersfield Town star, although he is thought to have outlined his desire to make the move.
The summer transfer window is due to close at 11pm tonight (September 1), meaning the Tigers must move quickly to tie up a deal.
Sorba Thomas’ Yorkshire experience
Thomas is no stranger to Yorkshire having cut his teeth in the EFL with Huddersfield Town. He was on the books of the Terriers between 2021 and 2025, making 125 appearances before linking up with Stoke.
Prior to his permanent move away from HD1, he had loan spells at Blackburn Rovers and Nantes.

When he departed for the Potters, then-Huddersfield boss Lee Grant said: “Stoke City have presented the club with a generous offer for Sorba’s services and the player has shown a desire to pursue that opportunity, so it’s a deal that works for all concerned. I wish him nothing but the best with his new side.”
It appears he could be taking the place of Liam Millar in the Hull squad, with the Canada international seemingly edging closer to a loan switch to Birmingham City.
